A much needed new home is being built for the Sisters from the Church.  In between the photos of the construcion work, there is a photo of one of the very beautiful and unique stained glass windows in our Catholic Church.
The women's volleyball club is enjoying playing four evenings a week.  And Maximo was taking a quick break from his Tire Repair Business and enjoying his son who recently celebrated his second birthday with a super party.
The sport fishing guides report that fishing for calico and bonita remains good, and fishing for yellowtail improved this week.   Two guides submitted photos.

Biosphere Projects 10/06/2010

This is a great project in town that is receiving some grant money from the Preserve.  The grants are given to people with projects that improve the environment.  And the Plastic Bottle Cabanas being built by Jesus Verduzco Gallegos (Chuy) qualified for one of the grants. He plans on having the first two completed by the end of this year.
These are water front and will be a unique place to spend a vacation--and a way to be a part of improving our environment.

Tomorrow night will begin the very special Mexican Independence Day Celebration as this is the Bicentennial, and in November it will be the Centennial Celebration for the Mexican Revolution.  At midnight tomorrow, the celebration will begin with the El Grito, the traditional cry for Independence and on the 16th, there will be a parade in Asuncion and lots of fiestas all over Mexico.   A fun time always.  Below are just a couple pictures from past November Revolution Day Celebrations in Bahia Asuncion which should also be very special celebration this year.

We are happy to say that this blog is now working properly!  We are working on having the continual translation so all will be in English and Spanish and hope that will happen soon.  Communication between everyone can be delayed at times.

We also are working to add more and more to this Community Website and we really appreciate all of the positive feedback that we have received.   Thank you and as time moves forward, we will keep this blog more and more updated.
