There is a new federal program in the area to remove the trash from the beaches.   There are 40 people working on this project and part of the money comes from the Reserve fees---the bracelet that is purchased when whale watching, visiting some areas, sport fishing, etc.  GOOD JOB!  And thank you Jamie Morales Villavicencio for the fotos.

El Viernes 11 de Noviembre, estudiantes de la Universidad de Guerrero Negro llegaron a Bahia Asuncion para ayudar en la educacion ambiental a los niños de la escuela primaria Venustiano Carranza. Entre presentaciones de dos obras de teatro, cantos, baile y jugando los niños aprendieron la importancia del reciclaje de basura, la limpieza y otra actividades para proteger el medio ambiente. Nuestro representante local de la Biosfera, Jaime Morales V. participo en la organizacion de este importante evento . Se planea hacer mas presentaciones  con los niños en el proximo año, esta es una gran manera de que los niños aprendan.

On Friday, November 11, university students from Guerrero Negro came to town to help educate the young school children from the primary school, Venustiano Carranza.   While having fun dancing, hearing music, playing games, and enjoying the theatrical presentation, the children learned about the importance of recycling, cleaning up trash, and others things that will protect the environment.  Our local Biosphere representative, Jamie Morales V. participated in arranging this important event and provided the photos.  They plan to do this again.   It is a great way for the children to learn.
